DIY Wallflowers

Packing, cleaning, (re)decorating - accidents happen and things break. The glass of a coveted framed artwork décor, Naturalist's Collage IV by World Art Group, shattered into pieces, and it had us saying, "Now What?" In the spirit of design, we gathered one dozen coral roses to produce a visual and aromatic "room-lift" to compensate what we thought had been a loss.

We all love fresh flowers - any kind - and many of us loathe artificial plants. Dead or dying plants have been shunned in the home and office, as such indicate that the host(ess) lacks a nurturing sense, responsibility and hospitality. However, The Asher Experience believes in seeing the beauty in everything. So we find ourselves recycling things we love, even if that includes three-week-old roses. Ingenious was the idea to use the dried-out stems and petals to bring some color to a grayscale room.
LIGHTBULB: Wallflowers.
WHAT YOU NEED:
-A frame you love
-Dried flowers
-Wire twist tie or rubber band
-Hammer
-Nails
WHAT TO DO:
Hold stems together and secure with a rubber band or twist tie (we used the latter). After hanging the glassless frame on the wall, hammer a long nail in the center of the frame slightly slanted up so it can catch the banded and bundled stems.
